First, check the connection

| No Bridge in the public ChatGPT directory | The submitted 0.2.0 listing is under review, not published. Use the Developer Mode preview only if your account permits it. |
| The agent will not start | Run node bin/bridge.mjs doctor from the extracted bundle. Manual setup needs Node 22.22+ within 22.x, or 24.x. You do not need to install the source dependencies separately. |
| A pairing code expired | Start the normal connect command again and use the newly displayed code on the authorization page, not in the chat. Do not share it with support. |
| Paired but offline | Keep the correct Mac awake and Bridge running. Verify the selected connection. Bridge is not an always-on cloud computer. |
| A file edit was rejected | Read the current file again. Check for a changed hash or a marker appearing more than once; never bypass the check by overwriting blindly. |
| A command timed out | Inspect the existing process session and actual file state before retrying. A lost response does not mean the command did not run. |
| Disconnect did not confirm revocation | Keep the local state so the revocation can be retried. Stopping the process and revoking the device are different operations. |
Send a useful, redacted report
Include: the release version; macOS and Node versions; the AI client; local or managed connection; the step that failed; its exact non-sensitive error; and a small synthetic example. A screenshot should show only that error, with personal files, email addresses, codes and tokens removed. Do not attach raw system reports, your relay state, SSH configuration or customer documents.
